Day(Night) of the Triffids

By TriffidEater - Posted on 07 September 2009

As the discussion on HHGBSF concerning Day of the Triffids (past and current versions--plus the forthcoming remake), sparked and renewed interest in this, based on the original John Wyndham novel, which I am currently reading. I would be interested in discussing this with others who may have read this, but also see if forum members have also read the Simon Clark sequel Night of the Triffids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Night_of_the_Triffids)

Thanks!
Anthony

I haven't read Night of the Triffids. I am somewhat surprised it was never turned into a film or TV series following Day of the Triffids. Thanks for the link.

Cheers,
Louis

Good question, why? Its award winning and known but alas who knows.--I asked in my feedback, but would ya'll want reviews of both round the time of the new Triffid broadcast? Fodder for thought?

It was not the first episode made, nor was it a pilot episode, but the suits at NBC wanted a “monster” and this is that monster, a salt-sucking creature, the last of its kind. This was taken with the original iPhone in 2008 in Las Vegas just a couple weeks before they closed ‘The Star Trek Experience’
